Our partner in Brazil is the Catarinean Federal Institute, a polytechnic in Camboriú, in the state of Santa Catarina. The school started out as an agricultural school but now offers vocational courses in several areas. Our first contact was with professor Joaquim Monteiro Valverde, who has a background in computer science. He will be accompanied by his wife professor Silma Battezzati, and professor Rafael Benito.
Furthermore, there will be several reserach assistants recruited from the student cohort. At the moment, the team is still being put together so we will know more about the final group soon.
The project on the Brazilian side is funded by FAPESC, the state of Santa Catarina’s agency for science.
